CSCA LightEffects

Postby ksjp17 » June 30th, 2013, 12:47 am

Before even thinking about creating my own light effects, I wanted to make sure that I'd got the basics okay. However, I've hit a problem.

If I enter the map with the light event set to run from the get go, there is no problem. However, I'm doing a cutscene which part way through changes to night time. I have a switch which causes various changes i.e. sprites appear, tiles are swapped, and I was using the same switch on the events for the lighting effects. e.g. for the lamps:
page one no commands
page two, switch Night ON, comment LIGHT: LIGHT3
page three, switch Day ON, no commands (this is to turn the light off)

However, with this set up nothing happens. Any suggestions about what might be the problem?

EDIT
Does anyone know if Casper is still active? This script is available for purchase, but there appears to be zero support. Is that an accurate summary of the situation?

Definitely one sale lost.
6 weeks and no response.
If anyone who reads this is thinking of buying a licence for the scripts - don't. Without support they are not worth it.
